2023 JERSEY FITTING INFORMATION
Welcome back to hockey everyone!!! There is a lot of information in this letter as well as a few changes
to our procedures so please read all of it.
My name is Michael Fedke, I am the equipment director and will be the one responsible for number
assignments and security with regards to your child’s jersey.
If your child is a 2016 birth year or older, and will be playing for a team this season, you are required to
purchase team jerseys and socks. If you already own a set, it is not necessary to purchase again unless
your child has outgrown them. We will continue to issue jersey numbers in the following manner: Odd
birth year = odd number - Even birth year = even number. For example, a player born in 2010 cannot
get the number 13.
6U does not need a jersey number or fitting
If you are purchasing your first set of jerseys you must attend a fitting. You must bring your
player, their shoulder pads and shin pads. Do not attempt a fitting after ice time – no sweaty try-ons!
If this is your first season with the Sharks, you will be picking your child’s jersey number at the fitting
(this number will stay with them unless you request to change it) and we highly suggest coming to one
of the first dates if you have a specific number in mind because it is first come first serve and we will
not be taking email requests. If you need a number for the first time, or are switching your jersey
number, you must attend a fitting. We will not take email requests.
Existing team players: If you need jerseys due to growth, you need to attend a fitting as well unless you
are sure what size your child needs. If you order your jersey by email, you are taking responsibility for
any inaccurate sizing issues and will be financially responsible for changes needing to be made. You
can contact me by going to the Meramec Sharks home page, scroll down to the bottom right-hand
corner and click on the Contact Us “Here” link, then proceed to Click on the “Equipment Director” link.
We suggest waiting until fitting 2 or 3 or be prepared to wait as the new players choose their numbers
on the first fitting and the line can get long
Email fittings: Need to have the following information:
Player name, Birth year, Hockey number, Size of jerseys and socks
Goalies: All goalies that need jerseys will go through the same process as other players for your
fittings by showing up on the dates scheduled below. Please bring your upper padding for accurate
sizing.
Jersey fitting location/procedure: Jersey Fittings will be held at the Tank on Thursday June 8th,
Thursday June 22nd, and Thursday July 13th from 5-7pm. We will be taking orders in the main lobby.
Please form a line and we will get/verify your child’s number and fit you for a jersey and socks.
We highly suggest that you attend the June and early July fitting if you want your jersey by your first
season game. The longer you wait the longer they take to come in.
Payment procedure: This year the Sharks will be handling the jersey purchases and distribution. We
have gone back to K1 as our jersey supplier for both our regular game jerseys and goalie cuts as well as
our socks.
YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR JERSEYS AND SOCKS AT THE TIME OF
THE FITTING. ACCEPTED PAYMENTS ARE CASH, CHECK, OR
VENMO.
Total cost will be $325 for home/away jerseys and socks. This price also includes the nameplate and
number stitching as well. When your purchase arrives, you will be notified via email about the
procedures for pick up.
Socks: If you need just Socks you can email your size if you are confident in what size you need. If
you are not sure, you need to attend a fitting. Socks cost $25 a set or $50 for both home and
away.
!!! IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND THE DATES LISTED ABOVE THERE IS A
$50 FEE FOR A PRIVATE FITTING !!!!

MERAMEC SHARKS – TOURNAMENT UNIFORM GUIDELINES ('THIRD JERSEY”)
During the Summer of 2020, the MHC Board of Directors agreed to officially adopt and trial the Tournament Uniform (A.K.A, the Third Jersey”) program. This has been an un-official concept at our club over the past few years and was originally taken on by individual teams without club oversight. Although Missouri Hockey requires our team to have a standard uniform, The MHC Board of Directors supports and encourages our members to have pride and motivation in their own individual teams.
Please read the PDF below for more information on Guidelines and Ordering!
